On today’s Show, we speak with Terese Mudgway, who after spending nearly 15 years as a leading marketing professional, found she was looking for more. And it was while visiting her chiropractor that she discovered her calling. He was working on her using Applied Kinesiology (AK) and when she mentioned her intrigue with it, she discovered it was exactly what made her heart sing. Following more than four years of study, and graduating with a Diploma in Kinesiology, Terese opened her practice. Today she is in demand on both sides of the Tasman, with clinics in Auckland, Sydney and Brisbane.

Now I am a naturally sceptical person, and as a general-rule, find many complementary / alternative healthcare modalities to be esoteric and potentially misleading. But I also find most traditional and mainstream healthcare to be myopic and heavily influenced by many conflicting forces. So, when the opportunity to have Terese on the Show arose, I did my best to leave any prejudice at the door, and be open to the possibility, that there are indeed wonderful and successful experts in virtually every field of human endeavour.

So, disregarding my lack of resonance for AK and the polarising views between the proponents and opponents, my conversation with Terese left me with a strong sense she is a balanced, caring and professional practitioner. And, like many alternative modalities, AK may be incredibly effective for some people.
